Gender and Social Inclusion
Research and programme design centred on gender equity, disability inclusion and the social norms that shape opportunity.
About our Gender and Social Inclusion work
Despite decades of initiatives, gender inequality and social exclusion remain barriers to sustainable development. At BAN-DRCE, we examine social, cultural, economic, and institutional factors that drive inequality, discrimination, and exclusion. We ensure the integration of gender and inclusion across health, education, energy, agriculture, technology, and business. BAN-DRCE examine systemic exclusion, invisible barriers, solving project blind spots, promotion and assistance of evidence based action, data invisibility, etc. Our work spans women’s leadership, disability inclusion, social protection, safeguarding, GBV prevention, SRHR, child protection, and inclusive livelihoods. Through research, assessments, evaluations, and capacity strengthening, we generate practical evidence that helps organizations design inclusive programs, strengthen accountability, and reach underserved groups turning inclusion from principle into measurable, lasting change.

Our Approach & Methodology
Our methodology is participatory, rights-based, gender-responsive, context-sensitive, and evidence-driven, centered on the voices of less represented and voiced. We analyze social, cultural, institutional, and economic factors shaping experiences, opportunities, and participation. Stakeholder engagement is emphasized throughout from problem identification to solution design and implementation. We apply mixed methods tailored to each assignment, including desk reviews, gender and inclusion analyses, surveys, interviews, focus groups, participatory approaches, case studies, consultations, and institutional assessments. Intersectional analysis is used where appropriate to understand overlapping disadvantages. We prioritize meaningful participation, ensuring women, men, girls, boys, persons with disabilities, marginalized groups, and other stakeholders can safely contribute. Safeguarding, informed consent, confidentiality, do-no-harm, and ethical data practices guide the process. Evidence is translated into practical recommendations, actionable strategies, and measurable solutions that strengthen program effectiveness and sustainable inclusion.
