BAN-DRCE supports public institutions, development actors, and organizations to strengthen accountability, transparency, and institutional performance — building transparent, accountable, and responsive governance through evidence-based systems, institutional capacity, and inclusive decision-making.
Through research, institutional assessment, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement, we identify gaps and practical opportunities for improvement. We place the experiences and satisfaction of communities — particularly underserved and often overlooked groups — at the center of governance and service delivery, serving as the voice of the people and promoting inclusive decision-making, stronger oversight, responsive institutions, and policies that translate into measurable improvements in people’s lives.
Our Approach & Methodology
Our approach starts with understanding how institutions function in practice, combining institutional and policy analysis with stakeholder consultation, organizational assessment, and evidence from administrative and field-level data to identify gaps, incentives, and opportunities for improvement. Our methodology is context-specific, participatory, and grounded in practical evidence, allowing us to adapt our work to the institutional, social, and policy environment.
Where appropriate, we apply mixed methods, performance and accountability frameworks, and comparative analysis to generate actionable recommendations.
